Day 1: Samarkand to Aydar Lake Yurt Camp
Hotel Pickup or Meeting Point: Meet your driver at your hotel reception and depart from Samarkand to Aydar Lake Yurt Camp. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours. Upon request, several sightseeing or photo stops can be arranged along the way.
- Arrival at Aydar Lake - Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome lunch near the lake. After lunch, transfer to the yurt camp for check-in and relaxation. Optional camel riding can be arranged near the camp. Before sunset, your driver can take you to Aydar Lake for a short walk along the shoreline before returning to the camp.
- Evening Dinner and Campfire - Dinner will be served at the yurt camp. Afterward, gather around the campfire, listen to traditional folk music, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Kyzylkum Desert beneath the stars.
- Overnight Stay in Yurts - Spend the night in a traditional yurt and experience authentic nomadic hospitality.
Day 2: Aydar Lake Yurt Camp to Samarkand or Bukhara
Breakfast at Yurt Camp: After breakfast, enjoy free time or participate in optional activities before departure.
- Morning Walk by the Lake or Camel Riding (Optional) - If desired, your driver can take you to the lake for a morning walk. After returning to the camp, check out and begin your journey to Samarkand or Bukhara.
- Return to Samarkand - Direct transfer to Samarkand with an approximate driving time of 4–4.5 hours.
- Optional Route to Bukhara - If continuing to Bukhara, several cultural and historical stops can be arranged along the way.
- Alexander the Great's Fortress in Nurata - Visit the ruins of the ancient fortress believed to have been established during Alexander the Great's Central Asian campaign in the 4th century BCE.
Break for Lunch (Optional): Lunch can be arranged at a local teahouse or restaurant before continuing toward Bukhara.
- Sharmyshsoy Gorge - Explore one of Uzbekistan's most important petroglyph sites, featuring more than 6,000 ancient rock carvings depicting hunting scenes, animals, daily life, and spiritual symbols.
- Gijduvan Ceramic School - Visit the famous center of traditional pottery-making, known for its distinctive glazing techniques, colorful designs, and centuries-old craftsmanship.
- Drive to Bukhara - Continue your journey to Bukhara. The drive typically takes approximately 5–6 hours, with optional stops for meals or rest breaks along the way.
