Tour to the Aral Sea with Yurt Stay from Khiva

Day 1 Drive from Khiva to Aral Sea through Nukus and Muynak

Hotel Pickup from Khiva: Meet your Driver at the lobby of your hotel and start driving towards Nukus. On the way you will do the following stops.

Chilpik Kala - Driving time from Khiva: approx. 2.5 hours. Visit duration: about 20 minutes. Explore the ancient Zoroastrian Tower of Silence and enjoy panoramic views over the Amu Darya region.
Nukus – Savitsky Museum - Driving time from Chilpik Kala: approx. 40 minutes. Visit duration: about 1 hour. Explore the renowned Savitsky Museum, famous for its Soviet avant-garde art collection..

Lunch Break (Optional) - On the way you can have lunch in Nukus or in Muynak then continue the tour.

Important! - For 1–3 travelers, the journey continues with the same vehicle and driver. For groups of 4 or more, the group will transfer to 4x4 jeeps in Muynak (maximum 4 passengers per jeep) before heading to the Ustyurt Plateau.

Ustyurt Plateau - Driving time from Muynak: approx. 1.5 hours. Enjoy a scenic drive across the dramatic desert landscapes of the Ustyurt Plateau.
Desert Canyons - Driving time: approx. 30 minutes from the plateau. Photo stops at natural canyons and cliff formations.
Arrival in Aral Sea - Driving time from the canyons: approx. 1.5 hours. Arrival at the former shoreline of the Aral Sea, check in to yurts and rest.
Overnight stay in traditional yurts

Day 2 Drive from Aral Sea back to Khiva.

Breakfast. Morning Breakfast at the yurt camp. After having breakfast you can do the following activities:

Short Walk - Walk around the Aral Sea area and surrounding former seabed. Time for exploration and photography.
Check-out - Check out from the yurt camp and start the return journey to Khiva.
Kurgancha Kala - Visit the ruins of the ancient fortress along the route.
Muynak – Ship Cemetery - Driving time from the Aral Sea: approx. 3 hours. Visit duration: about 1 hour. Explore the famous ship cemetery and former harbor area.

Lunch in Muynak (Optional)Lunch at a local café. After lunch, continue the journey

Mizdakhan Necropolis - Driving time from Muynak: approx. 2.5 hours. Visit duration: about 20 minutes. Explore the ancient Mizdakhan Necropolis, an important historical and spiritual site.
Drive back to Khiva - Driving time: approx: 4 hours. .
