Pickup from Bukhara Hotel: Meet your driver and depart from your hotel in Bukhara towards the scenic Nuratau Mountain Villages. Along the way, several optional cultural and historical stops can be visited.
Day 1: Transfer from Bukhara to Nuratau Mountain Villages
  • Gijduvan Ceramic School (Optional) - Visit a traditional family-run pottery workshop, observe local craftsmen at work, and enjoy an optional ceramic masterclass.
  • Rabat Malik Sardoba - A medieval Silk Road water reservoir that once supplied water to merchants and travelers crossing the desert.
  • Sharmyshsoy Gorge - Explore one of Uzbekistan's most remarkable petroglyph sites, featuring more than 6,000 ancient rock carvings depicting hunting scenes, animals, daily life, and spiritual symbols from prehistoric times.
  • Alexander the Great's Fortress in Nurata - Discover the ruins of an ancient fortress traditionally associated with Alexander the Great and enjoy panoramic views over Nurata.
Break for Lunch (Optional): If departing from Bukhara later in the morning, lunch (not included) can be arranged at a traditional local house in Nurata before continuing to the mountain villages.
  • Arrival in Village - Check in to a family-run guest house and enjoy free time to explore the village independently, experience local life, and admire the surrounding mountain scenery.
  • Dinner and Overnight Stay - Enjoy a traditional homemade dinner prepared by your hosts followed by an overnight stay in the village guest house.
Day 2: Hiking Experience and Return to Bukhara or Samarkand
  • Breakfast at the Guest House - Breakfast is included and served by your local hosts.
  • Guided Hiking Tour with Local Host - Enjoy a guided walk through the surrounding hills and valleys. The route features unique rock formations, beautiful landscapes, agricultural fields, shepherd life, traditional houses, and authentic village culture.
  • Return from Hiking - After the hike, return to the guest house, pack your belongings, and prepare for departure.
  • Departure from Village - Travel comfortably back to Bukhara or continue to Samarkand. The journey typically takes approximately 4–5 hours. Additional stops for rest, photos, meals, or sightseeing can be arranged upon request.
